Japan calls for the cancellation of "AC Shadow" signers 100,000: to 150,000!
Japanese players continue to be dissatisfied with Assassin's Creed: Shadow, petitioning Ubisoft to cancel the release. As of now, more than 99,128 people have signed the petition on the Change.org, which is about to break through the 100,000 mark.
The petition points out that Ubisoft's representation of the Japanese samurai in Assassin's Creed: Shadows is a serious historical error, contrary to the historical fact that the samurai class served the upper aristocracy.
The petition mentions William Adams (Miura Press Needle), the first European to receive the title of Samurai, who served as Tokugawa Ieyasu's flag book for a salary of 250 stone. However, "Assassin's Creed: Shadow" mistook samurai for independent warriors, which is an insult to Japanese culture and history.
The petition demands that Ubisoft immediately stop the release of Assassin's Creed: Shadow and take a serious look at and respect for Japanese history and culture.
